Thank you! This solution worked for me to make the color picker in the essential graphics panel select the correct color. I am first noticing this problem in Premiere v22.0, build 128. It was picking a color near by not exactly the color chosen. When I sampled the color from a still of the frame using Photoshop, and copied the hex code, and pasted it into the color picker, it was still off. "Currently, the only way to properly sample any color is to turn off color management first".

Hello, Every time I use the Remix tool (an amazing tool!) by clicking on the end of a music clip, Premiere opens the Essential Sound Panel which throws off my whole panel arrangement. I then have to close it, then readjust all my panels as they were. This happens every time I use the Remix tool and it is just annoying and takes up time. (I'm not even sure why anyone would want that panel open after using the remix tool, but that is another question, and it seems like you should have the choice.) Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to change it? (Using version 22.5 (build 62)) Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Old thread, but as far as in Premiere v22.4 in 2022, on the Mac, holding the Command key while pressing arrow keys does the trick for nudging text or graphics. Have been looking for this for a long time. Not sure if it is a newly added feature. (I assume for Windows, it would be perhaps the Control key?)

Hi, I know this thread is a bit old. But I'm trying to get diagrams with text created in PPT into Illustrator with full editable layers and text. But when it opens in Illustrator, it has changed all the text characters into numbers and punctuation. I wonder if anyone has run into this and if there is a fix? Thanks!

FYI, to follow up with this. After chatting with three different adobe support specialist, it appears that I had a corrupt layer in my PSD file. I was informed that there is no actual limit to the number of layers that can be imported into Premier. I did not isolate the exact layer, but I was able to remove unneeded layers, and that seemed to clear up the problem. As to how or why layers in Photoshop files can become "corrupt", I have no idea.

Thanks for the reply. I did not merge the layers. You can see them in the screen shot. Only those layers past a certain number down the list of layers show up in the import dialog. Replace clip only works with clips that are already in the project, and open in the source window. When I try just relinking to the previous version of the .psd file from a missing item on the timeline, I get the "the importer reported a generic error". I tried importing a copy of the .psd from a different location (downloads folder) but same issue. I tried renaming the file without underscores as I saw an old post saying that might cause problems. Again, it is showing some of the layers but not all of them. What could cause this? Thanks, Lon

Hello Ann, Thanks for your reply. I've embedded the screen shots with annotations in my reply below. Thanks for clarifying re: DL vs. import/edit. This seems like a very common operation, to import photoshop layers, no? It was working. I did not change Ps or Pr version, and it just stopped working. Then I updated PS and Pr hoping it might fix it. I have also since posting cleared my preferences for both Ps and Pr and there is no difference. I will try rolling back to a previous version of Pr. I don't really know if this is a problem in Pr or in Ps. Could there something I did to the Ps file/layers that makes them not show up in Pr? Thank you, Lon

Hello, I'm using the latest version of Premiere Pro (14.8.0 build 39) and Photoshop (22.1.1) on MacOS 10.15.7. Here's how it was working to import (dynamic link) Photoshop layers into my Premiere project: - layers that were visible in Photoshop file (with file just saved) would show up as checked in the Import layered file dialogue. - All layers would show whether checked or not. Here's what is happening now: - Some subset of the layers in the Photoshop file are showing up, starting some distance down the list of layers. - The ones that are checked in Import dialogue do not correspond to ones that are visible in Photoshop. This happened after I had to update the Photoshop file substantially after I'd successfully imported layers and built sequences in Premiere. I saved a new photoshop file, and just want to import it and rebuild the sequences. (have given up on just relinking layers to built sequences. In the attached screen shots you can see that the first layer to show up in Import window is well down the list of layers and is not visible. Would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks! Lon

Good question. It looks like I can select multiple graphic items, but can't group them, nor move them together precisely... only with the cursor. Changing X,Y coordinates in the effects panel only works one at a time so I could change one, then copy the number and paste it to all the others... but definitely still lacking basic Photoshop features.... like nudge with the keyboard.

Thank you, steban4! This seems to be a good workaround to not have the "analyzing" banner show up in the exported clip! Sad that Adobe doesn't prioritize fixing a feature they are so proud to advertise!

This seems like the same or a related issue. When I change audio gain on several clips at once, the first clip plays, but all the others show changed p eaks, but don't produce sound and the levels show blank. Hitting solo does bring them back. But removing solo makes them disappear again. When I export if the solos are on, then the audio is in the output. If they are off, then there is no audio in the output. I am using version 12.1.1. I'm hesitant to upgrade while in the middle of a project because I don't know what new bugs have been introduced. Lon

Just wondering if this bug will be addressed soon in an update? Looks like it has been three months. I have recently downloaded the latest version. I am evaluating for purchase now, and seems strange I have to download a hotfix from dropbox to provide basic functionality. Thanks!
